Irish Autism Action is the national charity for autism, and its membership comprise of over 50 local groups who are providing support and services to the autism community. The Red Door is one of IAA's member groups.
IAA's National office is in Mullingar. Their telephone number is (044) 93 31609. IAA provides an information service and an advocacy service, and has recently started to fund research projects. IAA's Patron is Keith Duffy, who has helped hugely to raise awareness and much-needed funds for the organisation.
IAA support the Autism Support Ireland web-site, in partnership with other groups, which offers a new source of information for the autism community in Ireland.
IAA normally hold 4 Council meetings every year at which members and the public are invited to attend. Presentations on subject matters relevant to the autism community are usually on the agenda.

The Red Door's two representatives on IAA's Council are Karen Golden and Ivan O'Dwyer. But all Red Door parents, and others in the autism community, are invited to attend Council meetings.
