The Red Door School Future plans & Funding

Our current work and future plans are heavily reliant on fundraising

Future Plans

The Red Door is actively engaged in setting up services for older children, those aged 12 and over. This requires another big effort to acquire the appropriate expertise and source of required facilities.

Plans to extend their Outreach Service are also being drawn up. This is the means by which children other than those attending the school full-time can be helped.

Funding

The Department of Education provide funds which go towards the running of The Red Door. However, this does not meet all the costs of running such an intensive teaching environment, and the Parents Association is charged with raising the balance of the funds required. The other activities of the Learning Centre also needs funds to continue to operate effectively.

Annual fund-raising events include The Red Door Golf Classic (held in May in Foxrock Golf Club) and The Red Door Lunch (held in RIYC in September). All contributions are hugely welcomed, and help to make an enormous difference to the families effected by autism.
